Joyce Zimdahl
Associate Broker | Director of Property Management | Realtor®
Joyce Zimdahl serves as Associate Broker and Director of Property Management for Randolph Field Realty, Inc., bringing decades of experience in customer service, business management, and real estate. After more than 20 years in the travel industry, including 14 years with American Express, Joyce joined her family’s real estate business and earned her real estate license in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from the University of Phoenix and credits much of her real estate and property management knowledge to her mother, Dottie Bartel, Broker/Owner, who has been in the industry since 1980.
Joyce is passionate about serving property owners, residents, and the local community. She has held several leadership positions with the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) at both the San Antonio Metropolitan Area and Texas Hill Country chapter levels, as well as the Texas State Chapter, where she currently serves as Secretary. She is also actively involved with the San Antonio Young Marines and the Alumni Association of the Cibolo Citizens Police Academy.
Outside of work, Joyce enjoys spending time with her husband Thomas, their blended family of five children, and six wonderful grandchildren.
Thomas Zimdahl
Director of Maintenance | Realtor®
Thomas Zimdahl has been with Randolph Field Realty, Inc. since 2010 and serves as Maintenance Coordinator, overseeing repairs and maintenance for the company’s managed properties. He brings a strong technical background to his role, holding an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering and having served in the United States Air Force as a Morse Code Interceptor.
Originally from Wisconsin, Thomas was the sixth and youngest child in his family and played high school football before his family relocated to San Antonio during his senior year. He graduated from South San Antonio High School.
Thomas is actively involved in his community -- volunteering with the San Antonio Young Marines, Alumni Association of the Cibolo Citizens Police Academy (AACCPA), where he serves as President, as well as Cibolo Citizens on Patrol (COP). He has also served as Chapter President of the San Antonio Metropolitan Area Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM).
Outside of work and volunteering, Thomas enjoys building models and competing in model-building competitions across the country. He is a devoted sports fan who proudly supports the Green Bay Packers, San Antonio Spurs, and Milwaukee Brewers. During local football season, you can find him cheering on the Steele Knights!
Lana Hefner
Property Management Assistant
Lana Hefner is the Property Management Assistant at Randolph Field Realty, Inc., bringing a wealth of customer service experience and a strong background in housing. After graduating from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas, Lana spent more than 10 years in the mutual funds and investment industry before transitioning into HUD housing, where she became a Certified Section 8 Housing Specialist. This experience sparked her interest in housing and real estate and ultimately led her to Randolph Field Realty.
Born in Colorado and raised in a military family, Lana traveled as an Air Force child before making Schertz her home in 1975. Both of her parents proudly served in the United States Air Force, instilling in her an appreciation for service and community.
Outside of work, Lana enjoys spending time with her son, Courtland, and her granddaughter, Evelyn. She is also a devoted animal lover and proud cat mom to her sweet and spirited kitty, Bud. When she isn’t helping residents and property owners, you can often find Lana curled up with a good book or relaxing with her favorite evening shows.

Julia Tatsch has been a valued member of Randolph Field Realty, Inc. since 2022, serving as Maintenance Coordinator. She helps coordinate property repairs and maintenance requests, working with residents, property owners, and service providers to keep things running smoothly. A graduate of Steele High School, Julia brings dedication and a team-oriented approach to her role.
Outside of work, Julia is a proud mother of three who enjoys spending time with her family. When she has a little time to herself, you can often find her immersed in a good book or enjoying her love of crafts and creative projects. Her attention to detail and willingness to help make her a valued part of the Randolph Field Realty team.
